AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH AN OFFENSE FOR ANY PERSON ENTERING UPON THE MUNICIPA TENNIS COURTS OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, WEARING HARD -SOLED SHOES OR ANY OTHER SHOES THAN REGULARLY APPROVED TENNIS SHOES, OR ENTERING UPON THE MUNICIPAL TENNIS COURTS ON SKATES, BICYCLES, OR ANY OTHER MEANS OF WHEEL TRANSPORTATION, ESTABLISHING A FINE FROM ONE ($1.00) TO TWENTY-FIVE ($25.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND MAKING THE PARENTS OF ANY MINOR LIABLE FOR THE OFFENSE COMMITTED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, that: SECTION I. It shall be unlawful for any person to enter upon the surfaces of the Municipal Tennis Courts of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, wear- ing hard -soled shoes, or any other shoes than regularly approved tennis shoes, which tennis shoes shall be approved by the person in charge of the Fairhope Municipal Tennis Courts. SECTION II. It shall be unlawful for any person to enter upon the surfaces of the Municipal Tennis Courts of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, barefooted, or on a bicycle, or on roller skates, or on any other wheel trans- portation, or wearing any shoes not approved by the person in charge of the Fairhope Municipal Tennis Courts. SECTION III. Any person violating this Ordinance, shall be fined, on conviction, of a fine of not less than ONE ($1.00) DOLLAR, or more than TWENTY-FIVE ($25.00) DOLLARS by the Court trying the offense. SECTION IV. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, that parents of minor children violating the Sections of this Ordinance, shall be liable for the fines and Court costs imposed by the Court hereunder.
