NOTICE AND CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the City Council of the City
of Fairhope, Alabama , to be held at the Fairhope Municipal Complex on
Wednesday , March 7, 2012, at 8:30 a.m .. for the purpose to :
I. Executive Session to discuss pending litigation .
CONSENT TO HO LDING OF MEETING
The undersigned members of the City Council of the City of Fairhope ,
Alabama, do hereby acknowledge servic e of the Notice and Call of Special
Meeting hereinabout set forth nnd do hereby consent to the holding of such
meeting as such time in such place for the purpose set forth therein .

The City Council , City of Fairhope, met in Special Session at
8 :30 p.m., Fairhope Municipal Complex Council Chamber,
161 North Section Street, Fairhope , Alabama 36532, on
Wednesday, March 7. 2012.

Present were Council President Lonnie L. Mixon, Councilmembers: Debbie
W . Quinn, Michael A. Ford , and Rick Kingrea, Mayor Timothy M. Kant, City
Attorney Marion E . Wynne, and Assistant City Clerk Candace G. Antinarella. City
Clerk Lisa A. Hanks and Daniel Stankoski, was absent.
There being a quorum present, Council President Mixon called the meeting to
order and explained the reason for the special meeting .
At the request of the City Attorney , Marion E . Wynne, the City Council will
rise from the meeting to go into Executive Session based on Section 36-25A-7(a)(l)
to discuss pending litigation .
The approximate time t o be in Executive Session is 40 minutes. Councilmember
Kingrea mo ved to go into Executive Session. Seconded by Councilmember Quinn,
motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Exited the dais at 8:30 a.m .
Councilmember Ford entered Executive Session at 8 :31 a .m .
Mayor 's Executive Assistant Gayle Fogarty entered council chambers at 9 :25 a .m.
announcing a message from Council President Mixon that executive session will
extend approximate ly 30 additional minutes .
Returned at 9:53 a .m .
There being no further business to come b efor e the City Council , the meeting
was dul y adjourned at 9:54 a .m .
