The City Council met in an Agenda Meeting at 5:30p.m.,
Delchamps Room, 161 North Section Street,
Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on Monday, 13 July 2015.
Present were Council President Jack Burrell, Councilmembers: Diana Brewer,
Rich Mueller, Michael A. Ford, and Kevin Boone, Mayor Timothy M. Kant, City
Attorney Marion E. Wynne, and City Clerk Lisa A. Hanks.
Council President Burrell called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The City
Council reviewed and discussed the agenda for their meeting to be held today at 6:00
p.m. Agenda Item Number 7: a resolution to approve an Application seeking permission to
form and incorporate an Educational Building Authority of the City of Fairhope, Alabama and
authorizing such Incorporation for St. Michael Catholic High School was briefly discussed.
Heyward Hosch with Maynard Cooper and Gayle explained that the Educational
Building Authority being formed for bond issues for building the new Catholic School.
This will help the school obtain the best funding and will be a separate entity from the
City. This is a Federal requirement for Public Corporations to seek tax exempt status.
Agenda Item Numbers 10 and 11 were also briefly discussed.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was
duly adjourned at 5:47p.m.
