HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-340ORDINANCE #340 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE A LA BA MA , AS FOLLOWS: It shall be unlawful to any individual, firm, company or corporation to display any product for sale to the general public on any public street, sidewalk, or way within the City Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama in a location within one thousand (1000) feet from any person, firm, company, or corporation located within a building or structure of any kind within the City Limits of the City of Fairhope, that is of a type or nature similar to that being sold by the occupant business of the permanent type. This ordinance does not include those locally recognized charitable and nonprofit organizations that from time to time hold sidewalk sales and bazaars for bene- ficial and charitable uses. Any person found to be in violation of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) or by imprisonment or hard labor for not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and improsonment, at the discretion of the Court.
