Fairho-ho-hope
for the Holidays!
The holiday season is almost here, and Downtown Fairhope
is ready to shine! November and D ecember bring the return
of some of our favorite Chri stmas traditions and plenty of
reasons to spend time downtown with family and friends.
It all begins Thursday, November 19, with the Annual Lighting
Of The Trees. Join us beginning at 5:30 p.m. for
holiday activities before thousands of twinkling lights
illuminate downtown at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, November 21, grab your lawn chairs, blankets
and Christmas pajamas for Movie in the Street at 6:30 p.m.
at Fairhope Avenue and Section Street. Then, spend Sunday
afternoon downtown during the Annual Christmas Open
House on November 22 from 1 to 5 p.m., with local shopping,
live music, holiday treats and free face painting.
December brings even more Christmas fun with the Magical
Christmas Parade on Friday, December 4, at 6:30 p.m. More
than 60 parade units, marching bands and festive floats will
make their way through Downtown Fairhope, with the evening
culminating in the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus!
Santa returns for Santa Saturdays on December 5 and 12 from
10:30 a.m. to noon in front of the Fairhope Museum of History.
Bring your camera and stop by for a photo with Santa.
We can’t wait to celebrate the Christmas season with you in
Downtown Fairhope!

There’s something magical about Fairhope during the holiday
season! From honoring our local veterans to celebrating
beloved Christmas traditions, November and December offer
so many opportunities to gather with family, friends and
neighbors. I invite you to enjoy these special community
traditions and make lasting holiday memories along the way.
As we celebrate the season, there is also much to look forward
to throughout our community. Downtown Fairhope continues
to grow as a place to gather, create and connect, with Hatch
Fairhope located at 100 S. Church Street, providing a
welcoming new home for entrepreneurs, creators and local
professionals. Along Mobile Bay, work has been completed to
restore and strengthen Magnolia Beach, helping preserve this
special shoreline for residents, visitors and wildlife to enjoy for
years to come.
We are also continuing to invest in improvements throughout
Fairhope, including upcoming work along Volanta Avenue and
U.S. 98. While projects like these may bring some temporary
inconvenience, they are part of our ongoing efforts to care for
our community and prepare Fairhope for the future. We
appreciate everyone’s patience as this work moves forward.
As 2026 draws to a close, I hope you’ll make downtown
Fairhope part of your holiday traditions. Shop local, enjoy an
evening downtown, bring the kids to see Santa, and join us for
our New Year’s Eve celebration featuring live entertainment,
activities, fireworks and the midnight ball drop as we welcome
2027.
I wish you and your family a safe, joyful and memorable
holiday season. I look forward to celebrating with you in
Fairhope!
Sherry Sullivan, Mayor
