August 5, 2026

Members present: David Johnson, Joe Kelley, Tricia Gunnells, Chad Lagrone, Scott Fraser, Vickie Bailey
Members absent: Carrie Mackey, Kathy Sternenberg, PJ Hannon
Principals and School Staff present: Christina Stacey, Kylee Henseler, Spencer Segrest- Fairhope East
Elementary; Caroline Hollowell - Fairhope West Elementary; Tonya Harrelson, Erica Lee, Tonya Lynn,
Amanda Smith- J. Larry Newton Elementary; Angie Hall- Fairhope Middle School; John Cardwell-
Fairhope High School
City Leaders present: Jimmy Conyers, Mayor Sherry Sullivan
Board of Education members present- Superintendent Marty McRae, CFO Shane Martin
Chair David Johnson called the meeting to order at 4:31.
A motion was made by Soctt Fraser to approve the May 6th meeting minutes. A second was made by Joe
Kelley and the minutes were approved.
Chair David Johnson recognized our new Superintendent of Baldwin County Public Schools- Marty
McRae. A brief introduction was made by Mr. McRae and he was welcomed.
Fairhope Middle School Request
Mrs. Hall presented an amendment request on behalf of Fairhope Middle School for two additional
Instructional Aides. This amendment would increase the total budget to $732,917.

After hearing the request as presented, a motion was made by Joe Kelley and seconded by Chad Lagrone.
The motion passed.
David Johnson adjourned the meeting at 4:42 p.m. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, September 2 nd at
4:30 at Fairhope Middle School
