City of Fairhope Parking Authority
Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 8:30 a.m.
City of Fairhope Planning Department, Fairhope, Alabama 36532
Members in Attendance: Chad Bartz, Chris Shrader, Christian Preus, Morgan Slay,
William Hanes, Randy Neimeyer, Councilman Jimmy Conyers, Hunter Simmons,
Chief Stephanie Hollinghead, Mayor Sherry Sullivan, Chris Ambron
Chad Bartz called the meeting to order at 8:35 am
Chad Bartz made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of February 26, 2026.
Seconded by Chris Shrader, the motion passed unanimously.
Walcott Adams reviewed a development proposal for two residential units and office
space on De La Mare. The primary discussion focused on trash and recycling storage,
with developers proposing to store cans in carports and pull them to the alley on
collection days. The city confirmed it provides cardboard recycling for commercial
properties and will supply 96-gallon recycling cans for all customers. Committee
members requested the developer install partitions to corral trash cans and work with
the city on consistent paving materials for Bernhardt Lane from the building to the
curb, rather than replacing the existing red scored concrete.
Christian Preus made a motion to request developer install trash can partitions. The
motion includes working with city on consistent pavement material for Bernhardt
Lane; consistent material to run from new building face to back of curb on Del La
Mare red concrete section to be completely replaced during construction . Chris
Shrader seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The committee then discussed the recent parling study findings and some
recommendations. The committee agreed to wait for a city council work session
presentation before setting up their next meeting.
No new business discussed.
