Present were Council President Jimmy Conyers. Councili-neinbers: Jack
Burrell, Joshua Garnmon, Jay Robinson, and And-Tca Booth, Mayor Sherry Sullivan,
City Attorney Marcus E. %lcDo%vcll, and City Clerk Lisa A. Hanks.
I he CzF Council took a 10 minute break before the City Council meeting.
There being a quoruin present,. Council (PreSident Conyers called the meeting
to order at 6:15 li.m, The invocation was given by Mayor Roy Dobbs, former
Ala�ama League of Municipalities' President, and member of Falrhopc Aventle
Baptist Church,- and the Pledge of Allegiance vvas recited. G)unellmernbor Burrell
moved to approiL',e minutes of the May I I 2020, rcgular nicethig, and minutes of the
Mav 11, 2026, work session, Seconded by Courcili-nernber RoNnson, motion passed
unanimously by voice vote,
Mavor Sullivan addressed the City Council and said last week was Public
Works Week and we celebrated with a cookout for all employees. She thanked the
employees Ror �N,hat they do forthe City.
Chief Stephanie Holimahead addressed the City Council and recognized the
following Officcrsxith their promotions:
Damian Rchorn prornotud to Licutenart
Logan Duplechain promoted to Serg.cant
Dalton Bellamy promoted to Corporal
Joseph "Joey" Seay promoted to CoToral
Chief I lollinglicad i-ccognized family of these officers, and thanked the City Council
and Mayor for their support and allowing lici- the opportunity to do Oc.sc promotions.
Couricilmernhers Burrell and Garrinion did not have any Committees 'prior to
the meeting.
Councilinember Robinson gave an update on the Recreation Board 'Ind said
thicir will be as Franc bisc Agreement on the ncxt City Council Agenda.
OLIIIC llinLmher Booth announced the Movie Mondays at the Library and tlIe
Children Reading Program. She mentioned going to the American Legion on
Memorial Day with Mayor Sullivan and bcr father Joe Faust.

Planning Director Hunter Simmons addressed the City Council to explaia the

District- The property is located on the cast side of State Highway IS I., north of State
