The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in special session at
5:15 p.m., Fairhope Municipal Complex Council Chambers,
161 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on
Mondav, 04 Mav 2026.
Present were Council President Jimmy Conyers, Councilmembers: Jack
Burrell, Joshua Gammon, Jay Robinson, and Andrea Booth, Mayor Sherry Sullivan,
City Attorney Chris Williams, Director of Planning Hunter Simmons, Planning
Manager Payton Rogers, and Assistant City Clerk Jenny Opal Wilson.
There being a quorum present, Council President Jimmy Conyers called the
meeting to order. The invocation was given by Council President Conyers, and the
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
At the request of the City Attorney, Chris Williams, the City Council will rise
from the meeting to go into Executive Session based on Section 36-25A-7(a)(3) to
discuss pending litigation. The approximate time to be in Executive Session is sixty
minutes. Councilmember Joshua Gammon moved to go into Executive Session.
Seconded by Councilmember Jack Burrell, motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Exited the dais at 5:17 p.m. Returned at 7:41 p.m.
Councilmember Jay Robinson moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by
Councilmember Jack Burrell.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting
was duly adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
