NIP;G CON1 USSION OF FAIRHOPE is making a study of the CITY OF FAIRHOPE and matters concerning the most beneficial development of Fairhope and is now preparing a master plan, including a new comprehensive zoning ordinance for the City of Fairhope and WHEREAS, numerous application for commercial and industrial building, garage apartments, and multi -family dwellings, and semi- public structures are being received by the City and efforts made to construct such buildings prior to the adoption of the various elements of the master plan, and WHEREAS, many of the applications are contrary to the pro- posed master plan, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of Fairhope to control the building of commercial and industrial building;, garage apartments and multi -family dwellings, in accordance with the proposed plan: NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, as follows: SECTION 1. No building permit shall be issued by the City of Fairhope or any employee thereof for the construction in whole or in part of any industrial building, garage apartment, duplex apartment, or other multi -family dwelling or any commercial building in any part of the City other than within the fire zone, unld�ss such application for such permit has been submitted to the City Planning Commission of Fairhope for recommendation to the City Council of the City of Fairhope. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances or section of any code of the City of Fairhope in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by law. Adopted: February 8, 1954.
