AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FAIRHOPE:
SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful and be a crime
against the Town of Fairhope under this Ordinance,
for any person to do any act or acts, or to omit to
do or to refrain from doing any act or acts within
the Town of Fairhope or within the police jurisdiction
thereof, the doing of which or the omission to do or
the refraining from doing of which is.a misdemeanor
under the laws of the State of Alabama.
SECTION 2: Any person who is convicted under
Section 1, hereof, shall be punished by fine, not to
exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment at -hard labor upon
the streets or public works or in the workhouse or
house of correction of the Town of Fairhope, not
'exceeding six months, one or both; and in the event
any fine or cost are not presently paid, the Recorder
of the Town shall sentence the offender, or person,
thus in default to work out the fine and costs at wo A/f h` o c 3

person so sentenced to hard labor shall be allowed c, /-7Ec: f/* °/V- ° F�
one dollar for each days service so performed.

SECTION 3: This ordinance shall become operative
upon it's adoption and approval.
Duly adopted by the Town Council of the Town of
Fairhope, Alabama, at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 22 day of January, 1946.
