Arbor Day Celebration
The City of Fairhope will begin installing new water mains in early December
as part of a major investment in strengthening our community’s water
infrastructure. The first phase includes construction of a new 16-inch water
main along Gayfer Rd. Ext., progressing east toward Highway 181 and then
north to Fairhope Avenue, where it will connect to the water tower. This work
will be followed by a second phase, which will add a 24-inch water main along
Fairhope Avenue to further expand capacity and improve long-term system
reliability.
No water service interruptions are expected during construction, though
residents may experience intermittent lane closures along work areas and at key
intersections. Together, these new mains will significantly enhance Fairhope’s
water distribution network, supporting both current needs and future growth.
