Attendees: Lisa Adams, Ron Heveran, Elaine Synder-Conn
City of Fairhope Representation: No representation due to the meeting occurring on a holiday.
City Council Members: No attendees.
Honored Guests: Paulette Fedor (Citizen and President of the League of Women’s Voter’s)
Jim Horner was out of town, so Lisa called the meeting to order at 9:30am. The meeting was held at the Windmill Market in Fairhope. Mac Walcott provided a tour of the facility. The
project has a “green” focus and they are pursuing a LEED Certification. A LEED Certification is a is a challenging endeavor and Lisa believes this facility may be the first commercial
building to meet all of the state requirements. Walcott Adams is offering educational tours for the schools. Mac indicated that Robertsdale Elementary was scheduled for a field trip
this week.
Lisa reminded attendees to be preparing their 2010 “do” list. Lisa and Jim Horner previously discussed the FEAB recognizing community partners making green initiatives. The suggestion
was made to have different categories of projects similar to the NEP. On potential project to recognize would be the Windmill Market. This would be open for discussion.
