Berglinoffered the follo:7in3 resolution: Ordinance Noe ai Be It Ordained By The Town Gouncil of The `rain of Fairhope: Section One: The Mayor may call special meetings of the town oounoil, at the request of private persons to consider otters of peculiar interest to ouch persons, whenever in his judgement the matter is of importance to warrant a special meeting; but no such special meeting shall be called unless and until the person or per- sons requesting the call shall pay to the town clerk the nun of Five Dollars 05.00) to defray the cost of ca3llinE and holding such spe- cial meeting. Section Two: Each neabor of the Town Council, oxcopt the Mayor, shall be paid one dollar (01.00) for attendinZ oath special meeting held under this ordinance. Councilman Z. 0. 5timpssoa moved that all rulos and regula- tiona which would prevent the said ordinance being considered at this mooting suspended and said motion having boon seconded by Councilman n. 0. Herglin, San Dyson Voting a(,ainDt - gone The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried and the rule suspended. Councilman J. 0. Stiapson moved that the ordinance bo put upon its passage. The said notion being seconded by Council- man Lt. 0. Berglin upon roll call ve5e4 13ayor,Horard Ruge,Councilman N. 0. Berglin, J. U. Stiapson, H. P. Kamper, Sam Dyson, C. A. Gaston voted for the sane. Voting atafnst the same - none. The L%yor de- olazred the notion oarried. The ordinance having been read in full, Counoilaan U. 0. Berglin moved that the same be adopted. The said motion having been seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stiapson the Uayor put onid motion, voting for the sauce, ftward Ruge, Hayor, Coun- oilm©n 14. 0. Berglin, J. 0. Stiapson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Scraper, Sara Dyson. Rotin3 against the sauce - none; whereupon the Mayor do- olared the ordinance adopted and sinned the same in the presence of the Council. Section Two: Each member of the Town council, ex- cept the mayor, shell be paid one dollar (:1.00) for attend- ing each special meeting held under this ordinance.
