AN ORDINANCE TO FIX THE RATE OF
INTEREST 'IICH SHALL BE BORNE
BY THE $33, 000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT
OF GUNERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF
THE, TOVIN OF FA IRHOPE , ALABAMA
DATED JANUARY 19 1941.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town
of Fairhope, Alabama, that the $33,000 principal aikount
of General Obligation Bonds of said Town dated January
1, 1941, heretofore authorized to be issued under the
provisions of Ordinance No. 153 of said town adopted
on March 10, 1941, shall bear interest at the rate of
2` per annum, payable semi-annually on July 1 and Jan-
uary 1 in each year until their respective maturities,
and at the rate of 6% per annum after their respective
maturities.
Mr. Marvin Berglin moved that the rules be suspended and
unanimous consent be given for immediate consideration of
and action on said ordinance, which motion was seconded by
14r. J.O. Stimpson, and upon the motion being put to vote
the following vote was recorded: Ayes: Messrs, Ruge, Berglin,
Dyson, Gaston, Kamper and Stimpson. Nayst None. The Mayor
thereupon declared that the motion for unanimous consent for
immediate consideration of and action on said ordinance had
been unanimously carried. Mr. H.P. Kamper thereupon moved
that the said ordinance be finally adopted, which motion
was seconded by Mr. Sam Dyson, and upon said motion being
put to vote the following vote was recorded: Ayes: Messrs.
Ruge, Berglin, Dyson, Gaston, Kamper and Stimpson; Nays:
None. The mayor thereupon announced that the motion for
adoption of said ordinance had been unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come before the
meeting the same was on motion duly adjourned.
