BE IT ORDAINED BY THE T017N COUNCIL OF THE T017N OF FAIRHOPE ,
ALABArd,Q.,AS FOLLOWS:
(1) A municipal election be and the same hereby is called
to be held on the 18th day of February, 19419 between the
hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 O'clock P.M. by the qualified elec-
tors of said town for the purpose of determining the will of
said qualified electors as to whether or not said town shall
issue, on its credit, its general obligation bonds for the
purpose of providing funds for payment of certain 5o mortgage
notes heretofore issued by said town dated June 1, 1937 and
January 19, 1940, which are secured by mortgages on units of
the municipal light plant owned by said town, which bonds shall
be in the age°regate principal amount of $33,0009 shall be dated
January 1, 1941, shall consist of thirty-three coupon bonds in
the denomination of $1.000 each, shall bear interest at a rate
riot exceeding 3°jl annum, payable semi-annually, and shall mature
and become payable in installments as follows: $5,000 on Jan-
uary 1,in each of the years from 1942 to 1944, inclusive, and
$6,000 on January 1 in each of the years from 1945 to 19479 in-
clusive.
(2) The polling or voting place designated for said
election shall be the municipal hall in said town.
(3) There are hereby appointed the following named per-
sons as inspectors or managers, clerks and returning officer
to conduct such election: C.M. Brady, T.W. Hodge and A.L.
Stearns, as inspectors or managers; P.A. Grassfield and A.H.
Mershon, as clerks, and E.G. Miller, as returning officer.
(4) The following notice of the said election shall be
published in the Fairhope Courier, a newspaper of general cir-
culation in and published in said town, in the issues of said
;newspaper of January 169 1941% January 23, 1941 and January
30 , 1941:

Uotidq is hereby given that a special municipal
election will be held in the Town of Fairhope, Alabama,
at the municipal hall on the 18th day of February, 1941,
between the ?lours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. for the purpose of
submitting to the electors of de Town of Fairhope, Ala-
bama, the question of whether or not the Torrn of Fairhope,
Alabama, shall issue and sell 033#000 of general obligation
bonds, to be dated January 19 1941, in denomination of

Such bonds to dram interest at not to e•cceed three percent
per annum, Dayable semi-annually on July let and January let
of cac'h year, and to be evidenced by coupons attached to such
bonds; such bonds to be issued for the purpose of providing
for the payment of municipal five percent mortgage notes
issued by the Torn of Fairhope June 1, 1937 and January* 1, 1940,
secured ))v mortgages on units of the municipal light rla.nt.
The officers appointed to hold such election and to canvass
and return the results thereof are:

Shall the Town of Fairhope, Alabama, issue
k':3,000 principal amount of Town of Fairhope gen-
eral obligation bonds for the purpogeof provid-
ing funds for the payrmant of certain 5,�> mortgage
notes heretofore issued by said town in the ac-
quisition of and r:hich are secured by rzortgagesa
on units of the municipal light plant of said
town, such bonds to b3 dated January 19 �19,4a1, to
beer interest at a rate not exceeding 3;j' per annun
nayables :semi-annually on July 1 and Januaryl, to
be in the denomination of ;1,000 each and to nature

(6) The mayor is hereby authorized to give notice of said
election fat the manner required by laws to give notice to the
election officers of their appointment as such and to do all
other thinks necessary to the holding of said election,
Mr. H.P. 'damper moved that the rules be suspended and unanimous
consent be given for immediate consideration of and action on said
ordinance, which motion was seconded by Hr. Sam Dyson, and upon
the motion being put to vote the following vote was recorded:
Ayess 3iessrs, Rug&, Eerglin, Dyson, Gaston, Kamper and Stinpson;
Kays$ Wone. The mayor thereupon declared that the motion for
unanimous consent for irmediate consideration of and action on
said ordinance had been unaniously carried. Mr. J.O. 3ti*ipson
thereupon moved that the said ordinance be finally adopted, which
motion rar seconded by Ur. C.A. Gaston, and upon said motion being
nut to vote the following vote was recorded: Ayes: Messrs Ruge,
Derglin, Dyson, Gaston, M mper and Stimnson; Ilayes3; None. The
mayor thereupon announced that, the motion for adoption of raid
ordinance had been unanimously carried.
