Members in Attendance:
Camille Hausman, (Member); Mary Elizabeth Owens, (Member); Bethany Pierce,
(Member); Fisher Key, (Member); Jackson Wade, (Member); Isabelle Daniell, (Member);
Virginia Guilian, (Member); Epsie Dorman, (Member); Gunnar Kowal, (Member); Ezra
Langley, (Member); Sharon Smith, (Member), and Zaylee Bradley, (Ex Officio Member).
Wright Wilcoxon, (Ex Officio Member) absent. In addition, Mayor Sherry Sullivan; Lisa
Hanks, City Clerk; and Jenny Opal Wilson, Assistant City Clerk were in attendance.
Introduction of Junior City Councilmembers:
Jenny Opal Wilson, Assistant City Clerk, gave introduction of the Fairhope Junior City
Council and welcomed the 2025-2026 Junior City Councilmembers. She asked each
member to introduce themselves as follows: Camille Hausman, Sophomore, Fairhope
High School; Mary Elizabeth Owens, Senior, Fairhope High School; Bethany Pierce,
Sophomore, Fairhope High School; Fisher Key, Junior, St. Michael Catholic High School;
Jackson Wade, Sophomore, Bayshore Christian School; Wright Wilcoxon, Senior,
Fairhope High School; Zaylee Bradley, Senior, Fairhope High School; Isabelle Daniell,
Senior, Bayside Academy; Virginia Guilian, Senior, Fairhope High School; Epsie Dorman,
Junior, Fairhope High School; Gunnar Kowal, Junior, Fairhope High School; Ezra Langley,
Junior, Baldwin Preparatory Academy; and Sharon Smith, Sophomore, Fairhope High
School.
Mayor Sherry Sullivan and City Clerk Lisa Hanks:
Mayor Sherry Sullivan welcomed the 2025-2026 Junior City Councilmembers and gave
brief overview of her role as Mayor of the City of Fairhope and our local municipal
government as Mayor-Council. Mayor Sullivan referenced the Alabama League of
Municipalities handout “Your Municipality and YOU!”, and shared she is the current
President of the Alabama League of Municipalities.
Mayor Sullivan asked the Junior City Councilmembers to be present at the next Regular
City Council Meeting on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fairhope
Municipal Complex, Council Chambers, to be recognized as the 2025-2026 Fairhope
Junior City Council.
Lisa Hanks, City Clerk, gave brief overview of her role as the City Clerk and the operations
of the City Clerk’s office.

Election of Officers:
Jenny Opal Wilson, Assistant City Clerk, conducted the Election of Officers. Eleven
members were allowed to run in the Election of Officers. Two Ex Officio Members were not
allowed to run in the Election of Officers. The new officers elected are as follows:
Camille Hausman, President
Mary Elizabeth Owens, Vice President
Bethany Pierce, Secretary
Jackson Wade, Media Manager
Fisher Key, Programs Manager
New Business:
Jenny Opal Wilson, Assistant City Clerk, shared the 2024-2025 Fairhope Junior City
Council Bylaws adopted on September 16, 2024. The 2025-2026 Fairhope Junior City
Council made no changes for their term. Epsie Dorman motion to adopt the Bylaws as
written, seconded by Ezra Langley, motion unanimously carried.
Jenny Opal Wilson turned the meeting over to the elected Camille Hausman, President.
She discussed the required Fairhope Junior City Council project for the upcoming year.
Adjourn:
There being no further business, Camille Hausman motion to adjourn, seconded by Epsie
Dorman, motion unanimously carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
