Project background – Elpizo and Segers
Segers Aero Corporation ‘Segers’ was founded in 1976 and in 2008, relocated to Fairhope,
Alabama.
Elpizo Corporation ‘Elpizo’ (an affiliate of Segers at the time) bought 57 acres and the building in 2008
as an enlarged site for their MRO aviation business and has been committed to the area ever since.
Segers had 60 employees back in 2008 and when the business was sold to HIG in 2024, it had grown to
170 employees. Since the sale, the business has further grown with more than 200 employees.
Now Elpizo wants to support Segers, our tenants, to expand in Fairhope, bringing further investment and jobs to the area.
Elpizo is now investing c. USD 9m in developing a 55,000 sq/ft Pre-engineered Metal Building (PEMB).
This will be a fully air -conditioned and insulated production floor with offices and 50 car parking spaces with landscaping
to support a further 60 employees on site
