DESCRIPTION OF DISCUSSION ACTION STATUS 1. Call to Order by Ric Lacey at 5:02 p.m. 2. Board President Lacey welcomed the applicants and guests to our first meeting since 2021. He asked the members of the Board to introduce themselves. After these introductions we recognized the Mayor and Fairhope’s Director of Planning. The following applicants and interested parties introduced themselves to the Board: McCall Lugo and Ashton Feaster from the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance (EDA). Christo Kok, President and CEO and Rick Binkley, COO representing Segers Aero Corporation. Chloe Rudnicki, COO representing Elpizo Corporation, who attended virtually. 3. Purpose of the Meeting – Mr. Lacey advised the Board that our sole agenda item was to review a request for tax abatement from Segers Aero and Elpizo Corporation. McCall Lugo and Ashton Feaster presented the Applications for Tax Abatement to the Board on behalf of Segers and Elpizo. Christo Kok provided the Board with background and historical information on Segers Aero Corporation. He noted that Segers had located in Fairhope in 2008 and had become a significant employer in Fairhope, currently providing 200 highly technical jobs. Rick Binkley provided a briefing on operations at Segers and explained how this abatement would help their business grow with the proposed expansion and provide 60 new technical careers. Chloe Rudnicki provided a detailed A/V presentation on the proposed new facility. She highlighted the involvement of the City of Fairhope Planning Department in the design development. A question-and-answer session was provided for the Board to gain further understanding of the issues to facilitate their determinations. There were a few items of information that the applicants did not have at their immediate disposal, so once the Board obtains the requested information, the Board will schedule an additional meeting. Mr. Lacey thanked the Applicants for their interest. 5. The meeting was adjourned at 5:52.
