AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING
ORDINANCE NO. 419 ; CHAPTER 15-PARKS AND RECREATION:
SECTION 15.2 CAMPING IN PARKS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE ,
ALABAMA , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The Co de of Ordinances, City of Fairhop e, Alabama, Chapter 15 , Articl e I. In
Ge neral. Sec ti on 15-2 is hereby amend ed to refl ec t the fo llo wing changes and additions:
Article I. IN GENERAL
Section 15-2. Camping in Parks.
It sh all be unl aw ful fo r any per so n to camp in an y City Park.
(a) Counc il h as the ri ght to appro ve camping in des ignated areas if group pro vides
service hours in return .
SECTION III. SEVERABILITY
The sec ti ons, paragraphs, sentences, cl au ses and phrases of thi s ordinance are severabl e, and
if any phrase, cl au se, sentence , paragraph or sec tion of thi s ordinance shall be decl are d
unco n stitution al by a co urt of co mp e tent juri sdiction, then su ch ruling shall not affect any
o ther paragraphs and sec tions, since the same would h ave been enacted by the muni cipali ty
council without the incorp ora tion of an y su ch unconstitutional phrase , clau se , sentence,
paragraph or sec tion .
SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE
Thi s ordinance shall take effec t immedi ately up on its due adoption and publi catio n as
required by law .
