BACKGROUND INFORMATION: BUDGET IMPACT/FUNDING SOURCE: GRANT: LEGAL IMPACT: FOLLOW UP IMPLEMENTATION: Page 3 of 6 Take-Home Vehicles -City of Fairhope Certain employees will be assigned City vehicles for use in their positions and are authorized to drive the vehicle to and from work. "Take-home" vehicles are authorized based on the needs of the City and only for employees living inside the City 's police jurisdiction. Police Officers who live outside the police jurisdiction but within a 15-mile radius of the City of Fairhope police station and in Baldwin County, Alabama, may be authorized by the Chief of Police and Mayor to take home a City police vehicle to respond to calls for police assistance within the City of Fairhope 's police jurisdiction. Except for commuting to and from work, City vehicles may only be used for City business.
