Phil Rutherford to look into a request made by Steve Baker of 124 Fairwood Blvd to put a 3 way stop sign up at Fairwood & Bayou. Mr. Overstreet reported that he and Mr. Rutherford went and looked and they moved the children --at play sign and put up a 25 mph speed sign, but, did not recommend putting up 3 way stop sign. Mr. Baker said they are not slowing down, it is like a curvy race track, maybe put some speed bumps. Councilman Bishop said maybe we should concentrate on giving tickets in this area. Mr. Baker said that he watched a school bus come around that looked like it was on 2 wheels. Councilman Ford said he tlaught we ought to write a letter to Supt. Newton to ask the bus drivers to observe the speed limit and so moved to ask Mayor Nix to write the letter, John Duck 2nd and motion carried unanimously. Otherwise see if action taken works. Councilman Duck moved to pay bills as presented, Councilman Ford seconded and motion carried unanimously.
