COUNTY OF BALDWIN X
The City Council, City of Fairhope, reconvened in regular
session at 10:00 a.m.; Fairhope Municipal Complex Council
Chamber; 161 North Section Street; Fairhope, Alabama 36532;
on Wednesday, 26 August 1992.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix; Councilmembers Jeanette
Puckett, David E. Bishop, and John V. Duck; City Attorney
Marion E. Wynne and City Clerk Evelyn P. Phillips. Councilman
Michael A. Ford was absent.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Nix declared the
meeting back in session.
Councilman Duck introduced in writing, and moved for the
adoption of, the following resolution. Seconded by Councilman
Bishop, motion passed unanimously by the following vote:
AYE -Puckett, Nix, Bishop and Duck. NAY -none:

RESOLUTION NO. ?- 5;02
WHEREAS, the general election for the City of Fairhope, Alabama, was duly
and legally held on Tuesday, 25 August 1992, as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the mu icipal governing body of the City of Fairhope, Alabama,
met on this 26t� day of August, 1992, a quorum thereof being present,
at 10:00 a.m., and has canvassed the returns, and has ascertained and
determined the number of votes received by each candidate; and
WHEREAS, the said municipal governing body has ascertained and determined
the result of said election as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama, as follows:
1. That LAYTON OVERSTREET received a majority of the votes cast for the
office of Councilmember, Place No. 3, and is hereby declared duly elected
to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in October, 1992.
2. That MICHAEL A. (MIKE) FORD received a majority of the votes cast for
the office of Councilmember, Place No. 4, and is hereby declared duly
elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in October, 1992.
3. That JOHN V. DUCK received a majority of the votes cast for the office
of Councilmember, Place No. 5, and is hereby declared duly elected to
that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in October, 1992.
ADOPTED THIS 26TH DAY OF AUGUST, 199?.
