Members present: Tricia Gunnells, David Johnson, Joe Kelley, Danielle Mashburn-Myrick (by
phone), Miranda Schrubbe, Kathy Sternenberg
Members absent: Vickie Bailey, Paul Hannon, Carrie Mackey,
Principals and school staff present: Christina Stacey - Fairhope East Elementary; Jenny Breazeale
- Fairhope West Elementary; Tonya Harrelson – J. Larry Newton Elementary; Angie Hall –
Fairhope Middle; Jon Cardwell – Fairhope High

Joe Kelley called the meeting to order and the March 5th meeting minutes were approved.
Funding requests for the 2025-2026 school year were presented, discussed and voted on. All
detailed requests are attached.
Jon Cardwell presented the request on behalf of Fairhope High, with all items to be funded with
3-mill money (see below for breakdown). Motion to approve request as presented was made by
Tricia Gunnells and seconded by David Johnson; motion passed.

money carried over from previous years. Motion to approve request as presented was made by
Kathy Sternenberg and seconded by David Johnson; motion passed.

David Johnson has agreed to fill the role of commission vice-chair/chair elect for 2025. A
motion was made to officially appoint David to this role by Kathy Sternenberg and was
seconded by Tricia Gunnells; motion passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 7th at
4:30 p.m. at J. Larry Newton Elementary.
