NOTICE AND CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to
be held at the Fairhope Municipal Complex at 5:00 pm, on
TUESDAY, 22 OCTOBER 1991, for the purpose of
AIRPORT BOARD BUSINESS.

CONSENT TO HOLDING OF MEETING
The undersigned members of the City Council of the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, do hereby acknowledge
service of the Notice and Call of Special Meeting
hereinabove set forth and do hereby consent to
the holding of such meeting at such time and in
such place and for the purpose set forth therein.
Councilmembers Jeanette Puckett and David E. Bishop
and City Attorney Marion E. Wynne were out of town.

The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in special session at
5:00 pm; Fairhope Municipal Complex Mayor's Office;
161 North Section Street; Fairhope, Alabama 36532; on
Tuesday, 22 October 1991.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix; Councilmembers Roy C. White,
Michael A. Ford, and John V. Duck; and City Clerk Evelyn Phillips.
Councilmembers David E. Bishop and Jeanette Puckett, and City
Attorney Marion E. Wynne were absent.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss a proposed lease
as requested by the Fairhope Airport Board.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Nix called the meeting
to order. Council has been advised that the Airport Fixed Base Operator
Fairhope Aero Services, is in default of lease requirements and
has been shut down.
The Airport Board requests approval of a temporary lease,
presented in writing, between the City and Fairhope Flying Service„
Inc., to operate the airport until more permanent arrangements
can be made. After discussion, Councilman Ford introduced in
writing, and moved for the adoption of, the following resolution.
Seconded by Councilman Duck, motion passed unanimously by the
following vote: AYE -Ford, Duck, White, and Nix. NAY -none.
RESOLUTION NO. 353-91
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a
lease between the CITY through its AIRPORT BOARD, and FAIRHOPE
FLYING SERVICE, INC.; allowing Fairhope Flying Service to operate
the Fairhope Municipal Airport according to guidelines as set out
in said lease; Lease term is for ninety (90) days, beginning on
22 October 1991, and shall be renewable in thirty (30) day increments,
said renewal at the exclusive option of the City; Leased premises
shall consist of ramps and the hard stand where FFS shall place tem-
porary facilities; and FFS shall pay no rental fees for this period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That this lease shall become null and void and
of no effect if FFS is not in place and operating by Friday,
25 October 1991, and lease is tob(personally quaranteed by the owners
of Fairhope Flying Service, Inc.; C. William Barnhill and Lee Statler.
