NOTICE AND CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to be held at
the Fairhope Municipal Complex Council Chamber, on
Friday, 4 May 1984, at 5:00 o'clock, P.M., for the
purpose of increasing the scope of work on the current
CDBG project, extending the contract with Fairhope
Paving Company, accepting a bid on carpet for the new
City Hall area, and discussing some curb work.
CONSENT TO HOLDING OF MEET]
The undersigned members of the City Council of the City
of Fairhope, Alabama, do hereby acknowledge service of
the Notice and Call of Special Meeting hereinabove set
forth and do hereby consent to the holding -of such
meeting at such time and in such place and for the
purposes set forth therein.

The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in special session
at 5:00 o'clock, P.M., Fairhope Municipal Complex Council Chamber,
161 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on
Friday, 4 May 1984.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the current CDBG
project, some curbing, and carpet bids received for the City
Hall renovation.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix; Councilmembers Roy C. White,
Trisha Nelson, David E. Bishop, Michael A. Ford, and Barney L.
Shull; City Attorney James Reid and City Clerk Evelyn Phillips.
No one was absent. Grant Administrator Tommie Werneth was present.
Mrs. Werneth explained the changes that could be made in
the current CDBG project by reallocation of budget funds. After
discussion, Councilwoman Nelson introduced the following resolution.
Seconded by Councilman Shull, motion passed unanimously:
RESOLUTION NO. 120-84
Amendment #2
VffR9ZEAS, the City of Fairhope desires to continue the activity
in the Community Development Block Grant program project, and
[AREAS, there are sufficient funds in the budget for this
purpose, and
WHEREAS, the beneficiaries of this proposed activity will
be of the same socio-economic character as those of the
original proposal; Now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE
that the City amend its CDBG program to continue to make drain-
age improvements in the project area with funds available in
the CDBG grant in the amount of $24,148.30.

Councilman White moved to accept the low bidder, provided all spec-
ifications are met. Seconded by Councilman Shull, motion passed
unanimously.
Meeting was duly adjourned.
