A letter from Trinity Presbyterian Church was presented to
the Council which stated the Church wished to withdraw its re-
quest for permission to remove five trees in the alley along its
parking lot. Several members of the neighborhood committee were
present to complain about the tree that was removed by the City
electrical crew since the last Council meeting. Supt. Aaron Norris
explained that the crew removed the stump of a tree in that area
to prevent it from disrupting electric service due to the stump's
outgrowth rubbing against electric lines. This was done in routine
maintenance and he and his crew were not aware of the tree -removal
discussion that was going on about that particular area.
Meeting was duly adjourned.
