Taking place at the Fairhope Civic Center, this event is free and open to everyone. Doors open at 9 a.m., and a light lunch will be served afterward. NEWS HIGHLIGHTSMAY / JUNE 2025 City Sketches MAY / JUNE 2025 The Fairhope Rotary Steak Cook-Off is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, on Bancroft Street in Downtown Fairhope. The event will commence at 7 p.m., with street closures beginning at 12 p.m. This charity cook-off is a key fundraiser for the Fairhope Rotary Club, enabling them to support initiatives that improve the quality of life for Fairhope residents. Beneficiaries of this fundraiser include the Fairhope Rotary Youth Club, which offers after-school and summer programs, as well as the Fairhope Police Department’s Back to School program and Shop with a Cop Christmas program, among various other projects. The Downtown Fairhope Business Association, in partnership with the City of Fairhope, is excited to announce the Glow in the Park Summer Movie event this June. Families are invited to enjoy a magical evening under the stars with a screening of the beloved animated film “Finding Nemo.” The event will take place on June 12 at 8 p.m. at Fairhopers Community Park, located at 105 S Church Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, pack a picnic, and unwind in a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by family and friends. Complimentary popcorn will be served in adorable mini sand buckets, and children can look forward to fun glow-in-the-dark treats before the movie begins. There will be no garbage, trash, or recycling pickup. Services will resume on the next scheduled pickup day.
