Meeting Minutes
Monday, February 10, 2025, 8:00 a.m.
Fairhope Museum of History, 24 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532
Members in Attendance: Bryan Flowers, Chad Bartz, Mandy Bezeredi, and Morgan
Slay, Chris Shrader. Staff present: Chief Stephanie Hollinghead
Guests: None
Bryan Flowers called the meeting to order at 8:04 am.
Chad Bartz made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of January 6, 2025.
Seconded by Chad Bartz, the motion passed unanimously.
Bryan Flowers has requested City Council liaison. He will email Council President
and wait for response.
Bryan Flowers will follow up with Mayor on the status of the Single Tax decision of
the deck located on Church Street property.
Bryan Flowers discussed with committee on the one-way street initiative. Response
from Mayor indicated there may be plans and funding in this year’s budget. Morgan
Slay spoke to George Ladd about the possibility of adding future street in the
upcoming budget. Bryan Fowers is going to follow up with the Mayor.
Mandi Bezeredi updated committee on new Coastal parking area. Not complete but
hoping to be completed be the end of March.
Chad Bartz disbursed post cards to committee members to be handed out to
merchants. Confirmation of zone assignments were discussed.
Brian Flowers is going to discuss with Council President on street parking in front of
the Hampton. How do we enforce parking here. Committee will follow up with owner
of Hampton in April, as previously discussed.
Bryan Flowers inquired about the downtown shuttle stops. Chad Bartz is going to
contact Paige about the log, wrap status, and stops with signage.
Bryan Flowers introduced the valet parking discussion. He reached out to a third party
on what that would look like. This subject is going to be tabled.
Chad Bartz suggested inviting Paige and Bethanne to the next meeting to help
brainstorm the shuttle and signage initiative.
Chris Shrader suggested to do a recount in May of Arts Alley Parking usage as
previously don’t to see if initiatives are making a difference.
Chad Bartz made a motion to accept Christian Preus’s application to the committee,
Mandi seconded the motion, the motion passed unanimously. Christian Preus will be
replacing Josh Turner who resigned from the Committee in November.
No new business discussed.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 am
Next meeting scheduled on March 24, 2025 at 0800.
