HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-27-1967 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama., met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, November 27, 1967 at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: Spader, Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved. The committee appointed to check the bids on loader recommer ed that the City repair the old loader at an approx7Eimate cost of $300.00 and purchase of new loader be postponed at this time. Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stine that the City reject all bids submitted on new loader. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Stine seconded by Councilman Spader that Mr. T. V. Burkett be notified that he is no longer on the City Pay Roll but that he will be paid severance pay equal to one months pay. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stipes that the following Resolution be adopted. Motion carried. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, an election is to'be held on Tuesday, December 5, 1967 to determine whether or not Baldwin County shall have Five Commissioner Districts, and WHEREAS, _the Mayor and City Council of the City of Fairhope are in favor of this Amendment, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Counoi of Fairhope wholeheartedly kndorse this amendment and request all voters, vote YES on December 5, 1967 on this amendment. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. Approved Mayor Attest: City Merk
