01 The undersigned Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Fairhope, Alabama hereby waive notice of the calling and holding of a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the City Hall, Friday, June 9, 1967 at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of openinE bids for Rest Rooms and Showers at the Swimming Pool and for the taking of such necessary and proper action thereon, and agree and consent that said meeting shall be held at such time for such purpose,? and further agree and consent that there may be consider- ed at such special meeting such matters relating to the affairs, of the City of Fairhope as shall come before the Council. Witness our hands this the 9th day of June, 1967. r unc -�'Oj STATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in special session at the City Hall, Friday, June 9, 1967 at 7:30 P.M. with the followin members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: R. J. Spader, R. Roy Reynolds, J. A. Stipes and R. H. Stine. Councilman J. E. Gaston being absent. Each member present signed waiver of notice of and consent to the• holding of such special meeting. Meeting was .called to order by Mayor Macon and upon motion by Councilman Stipes seconded by Councilman Spader the Council suspended the reading of minutes of the previous regular meeting. Potion carried. Mr. Barney Shull, Mr. Dan Chatwood and Mr. Gordon Burton, members of the Recreation Board, met with the Council. Councilman Reynolds introduced the following Ordinance which was seconded by Councilman Stipes. ORDINANCE NO. -37 7 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 16111 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 104, SECTION 11 TO READ AS FOLLOWS: IN ALL BUILDINGS OR PLACES OTHER THAN DWELLINGS WHERE PERSONS ARE EMPLOYED OR CONGREGATE, THERE SHALL BE PROVIDED ONE(1) SEPARATE WATER CLOSET SEAT FOR EACH TWENTY (20) PERSONS OR FRACTIC THEREOF, IN WHICH THERE SHALL BE PROVIDED NOT LESS THAN SIX (6) FEET OF SPACE PER CAPITA, BUT.1 THAT CHEMICALLY TREATED PORTABLE STATE APPROVED TOILET SEATS CAN BE USED FOR PERIODS OF CONSTRUCTIC NOT EXCEEDING NINETY (90) DAYS. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Fairhope, Alabama that Section 16-11 of the Municipal Code of F irhope, Alabama known as Ordinance No. 1049 Section 11, be amended to read as follows: In all buildings or places other than dwellings where persons are employed or congregate, there shall be provided one (1) Separate water closet seat for each twenty (20) persons or fraction thereof, in which there shall be provided not less than six (6) feet of space per capita, but that chemically treated portable state approved toilet seats can be used for periods of construction not exceeding ninety (90) days.. Councilman Stine seconded the motion. Motion carried and adolo ted. Councilman Reynolds moved that the said Ordi ance No. 22L be finally passed and adt!epted as introduced. Councilman Stine seconded this motion. Upoon being put to vote the following vote "8&tVoting For: Councilmen: Spader, Reynolds, Stipes and 'Stine. Against: None. Councilman Gaston absent. (b) Single Tax Colony Lease endorsed by George J. Mitchel - - and Barbara Vallas Mitchell, husband and wife, to the City of airhope, Alabama, a municipal corporation.. Motion by Councilman Stipes seconded by Councilman Reynolds that the City of Fairhope purchase the Fairhope Casino and property in accordance with the condemnation price of $24,750.00 set by the 2a Courts and that the City ask for bids on removing this building as soon as possible. Upon being put to vote the following vote was recorded: Voting For: Coun.cibmen: Stine, Stipes and Reynolds. Voting Against: Mayor Macon and Councilman Spader. Councilman Gaston being absent.
