STATE OF ALABAMA, COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council: of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, October 119 1965 at MO P.M, with the following members present: Meiyor Macon;Councilmen': Spader, Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved.' Ordinance #344, AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE EATERY OPERATOR AND/OR PASSENGER UPON A MOTOR -DRIVEN CYCLE TO WEAR A CRASH HELMET_ OR SIMILAR PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR: TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF SUCH MOTOR -DRIVEN CYCLE'UPON THE STREETS'OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, WITHOUT AN OPERATOW S LICENSEf TO PROVIDE'ROR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS OADINANCE't AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION HEREOF, introduced at the regular meet- ing of September 279.1965*was brought up'for passage. Motion by Couneilman.Spader seconded by Councilman Stine that Ordinance # 344 be adopted as introduced,- Upon being put to vote the follow- ing vote was recorded: Voting For: Councilmen: Spader, Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine; Voting Against: None. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Mason appointed Mr., Leo Keller as Civil Defense Director, approved by the City Council., The following members were reappointed to the Board of Zoning adjustment for a three year period ending September 12,' 1968.: Mr.' Fred Smith, Mr. Robert Faulkinbury,' Mr. George Stejskah,, Mr. Robert Wilder and Mr. Clarence MaCoy. Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stipes that the following Ordinance be introduced., Motion carried.,, ORDINANCE AN ORDIMNUE.AXENDING NG ORDINANCE # 295. BE IT"ORDAINED BY -THE CITY'COUNOIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, that Section 139 District Boundaries, of Zoning Ordinance #295 be amended as recommended byy*the Planning and Zoning Commission by rezoning the following described property from R-2 to B=29 provided any building erected thereon be set seventy feet back from the center mine of Section Street and sixty feet back from the center line of Gayfer Street: Lots 22 -& 23, Block 129' Vol.anta Sub -division. Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Spader that $445#00 be appropriated to send Firemen to State Arson School at the University of Alabama, November 8 thru 12. Motion carried. Mre' Niemeyer, Er#ecutive Assistant, reported on the City Manager's Convention held in Montreal: Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Stipes that the bills be approved for payment., Motion earried.� Motion by Councilman Stipes seconded�by Councilman Reynolds that the meeting adjourn: Motion carried.
