Gaston, Ne l son and Poser. C ounc i I man Schermer being absent, Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded by Councilman @aston that Eloise T. Wilson be appointed as Acting Cl:erk.in the absence of Marie Moore, City Clerk. Motion carried. Motion by Counc i I man Gaston seconded by C ounc i I man,Nel son} that they minutes of the previous regular and special meeting, be approved as read. Motion carried, Mr. Byrne: read report of Dixie Labioratory boring test on Nichols Street water tank site and the:Mayor .reported on the telephone conversation with Mr. Tucker of Chicago Bridge Company. Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Nelson that Section 16-21. of proposedcod i(f i cation of City Ordinances sha lA be amended by adding Section C. SECTION C. Prowided, however, in the event the property owner has paid for the sewer Line servicing his lot the City charge no fee for installation other than the sum of $10.00. Upon being put to vote the following vote was rr§corded: For: Councilmen Boone, Nelson, Gaston, Aga:instt Councilman Poser, Motion carried. Jack Kirk, Electrical, Superintendent, presented charts showing Load growth during.the past` ten years. Mr. Byrne: introducedand, read letters from the Al.abama. Fuh1 is Ser*.i:'ce Commission, Federal Power Commission and theAmerican Public Gas Association relative to the conditions, of anew proposed service agreement with United Gas Pipe Line Company. Motion, by Councilman Nelson seconded by Counci Iman Boone that the following Resolution be adopted. Notion carried. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOFE, ALABAMA: VMEREAS,; the City of Fairhope! agreed with the Deep South Folk. Festival that the-,C i ty wou I,d receive much benefit from said Festival in the way of advertiising and, did agree. to hel:p with the deficit if any. NOW THEREFORE the City hereby appro�%afes the sum of it I ,OOQ.00 to the. Deep South Folk..Fes:tivial, to cover said deficit.
