Motion carried. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded by Councilman Boone that the following; Resolution be: adopted. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed to execute the contract with Fairhope. C lay Products Company, a copy of which is now f i led with the City Clerk. C ounc i l man Schermer offered an alternate motion that no action be taken on contract until. a more thorough study is. made. Motion died for lack.of second. Mayor Schneider then called for a vote on the Resolution offered by Councilman Nelson with the following resu I t:: For: Councilmen Boone, Gaston, Nelson and Poser. Against: Councilman Schermer. Motion carried. A request for dance hall I I icense, at the Fa i rh ope Casino was referred to the: Pol iceCommiasioners and Chief of Po ice for recommendat ion. Letter from Dixie Laboratories on testing street surfacing was referred to a committee for study and report to Council. 16� Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded by Councilman Boone that the City Attorney read they C i ty Code and refer any problems to the Department heads. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Schermer seconded by Councilman Poser that the City change to staggered billing with three billing periods per month. Motion carried. Motion by Counci 1.,nan Boone seconded by Counc i Iman Gast on that the City reject the request of the Chamberof CommerceAviation Committee to f i le a request for a Federal Aviation Agency Grant pr.iior to March 1.6, 1962.
