The C i ty C ounc i I of the City of Fa i rhope• met in regular session at the
City Hall,,. Monday, November 28, 1960 with the following members present:
Mayor Joe Schneider, Councilmen: L. 1 . Boone, J. E. Gaston, Jr. W. J.
Nel son, 'N. 0. Poser and. A. E. Schermer.
Minutesof the previous regu-bar meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Amon Gates met~ with the Council pertaining to sewer installation and
street improvements on Jan Drive and Valley Street.
Councilman Boone was authorized to secure the services of an Engineer for
the City.
Two bids were received on Police Radio Equipment as requested by the Council.

Motorola 4,238.00
Action to be taken at a later date.
The application for building permit presented by E. G. Anderson was .referred
to C ounc i I man Schermer, for- further study.
Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded by Councilman Poser that the City accept
bid! of Eugene Bosby for residential garbage pick up based on bid, experience and
equipment. Motion carried.
The Mayor instructed the City Attorney to drew up a Dog Ordinance to be
presented to the City Council for action.
Members of the volunteer Fire Department requested: additional fire equipment.
Request taken under advisement.
Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded by Councilman Gaston that the. -Chief of
Police be authorized to hire a patrolman to fill the vacancy in the department
at a starting salary of $250.00 per month and six months probation period.
Motion carried..
