The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the
City Ha I l ,Monday, September_ 12, 1.960 with the fol. I ow.i ng members present:
Mayor E. B. Overton,, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: Belew,
Berglin,, Poser, Ruffles and Shull.
The minutes. of the previous regular meeting were read and. corrected to read
that the building application of Material Sales Co., Inc. be approved.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Shull, that the minutes
be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Shull, that the application
of Mrs;. Eve 0I ivere for reta-il beer and rl nquor permits at 0I ivere• Restaurant,
311 Fairhope Avenue, be approved. Motion carried
Harry Raske-requested space for loading zone on Fairhope Avenue. Motion
by Councilman Shull seconded by Councilman Ruffles that one space east of the =
theatre be reserved for studio loading zone. Motion carried.
Motion by C ouncilman Ruffles seconded by C ouncilman Berglin that the application
of James W. GiIheart for reta,i4 beer and liquor permit at Dale's, 411 Fairhope
Ave., be approved. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by Councilman Belew that the following
Ordinance be adopted. Motion carried.

AN ORD I NANO E TO AMEND SEC T I ON 13 OF ORD 1 MANC E -# 231.
SECTION 13 — DISTRICT BOUNDARIES t-
South half of S1W Quarter of Section 1.7, Division 4, bounded on the
East by Mershon Street,, South by Nichols Str. on the West by Fels
Avenue and Lot 21, Block 3, of Central Park. Subdivision be rezoned
from R-2to B-3.
Upon being put to vote the following vote was recorded: Voting For; Mayor
Overton, Councilmen: Belew,, Bergl.in, Poser, Ruffles and Shull.. Voting Against:
None, The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Poser seconded by Councilman Shull that the City purchase
a bronze plaque, cost not to exceed $25.00, to be presented to Mr. John Beasley
in recognition of his outstanding work in connection with the new Thomas
Hospital. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Ruffles seconded by Councilman Shu I. I that the request
