STATE OF ALABAMA
County of Baldwin
The Ctiy Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at
the City Hall, Monday, February 9, 1959 with the following members
present' Mayor E. B. Overton, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Council-
men: M. 0. Berglin, C. F. Belew., YJ. 0. Poser and B. L. Shull. Council-
man W. R .. Ruffles being absent.
Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by Councilman Poser that the minutes
of the previous regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Mr. O'Brien of the Spanish Fort area. near Busby's store, met with the
Council requesting a gas line to serve approximately eight families in
this area.
Motion by Councilman Shull second ed by Councilman BeIew that Mr. Dyson
be authorized to run the gas line provided the eight families sign
agreement to connect to and use the gas and pay for the cost of the line
i'n monthly payments not to exceed 12 equal payments. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by Councilman Berglin that the
application for building permit of Amon Gates be approved as submitted.
Motion carried.
A letter from the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation protesting the Business
License was referred to the license committee.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Belew that the follow-
ing bills be approved for payment: Motion carried.
