County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the
City Hall, Monday, Feb. 10, 1958 with the following members presents
Mayor E. B. Overton, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilment C. F. Belew,,
M. 0. Berglin, J. F. McDaniels, W.R. Ruffles, Jr. and B. L. Shull.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and on motion by
Councilman Belew, seconded by Councilman Berglin were approved as read.
Motion carried.
A letter from the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation protesting the City
Business License was read, discussed and referred to the City Attorney.
Action to be taken at next regular meeting of the City Council,
Dr. C. A. Gaston of the Fairhope Single,Tax Corporation presented plans for
installing culverts on Bancroft St., the Colony to provide culverts and
the City to do the necessary work. The Mayor appointed the City Manager
and Councilman Shull to study plans before action is taken.
A letter from the County Commission concerning paving Fig Street was read
to the Council. The City Manager was asked to contact Mr. Day to arrange
a meeting to find out exactly what is necessary for the City and Colony
to do in order to get this work done.
Motion by Councilman Ruffles seconded by Councilman Shull that the request
for band uniform be referred to the Recreation Board. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Ruffles seconded by Councilman McDaniels that the
request of Jack Stapleton to build greenhouse on corner of Section and
Morphy be approved as submitted. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman McDaniels seconded by Councilman Shull that John Duck
be appointed Court Recorder to October I, 1960, this appointment retroactive
to January I, 1958. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Belew seconded by Councilman McDaniels that the follow-
ing bills be approved for payments Motion carried.

Our last order of folders cost $300 for 10,000. We have a bid
this year of $250 for 10,000, which is a little over a year's supply,
or $320 for 15,000, which will last about two years. We believe
that it will be benificial to all concerned to buy a two years supply,
because of the price break. Bid was submitted by Poser printing
Company.

(1955 FORD Tudor) and take it off your hands
now. We will apply this �425.00 as credit
against the purchase of a new FORD whenever
you take delivery.
Barring circumstances beyond our control, we would be
able to deliver any new 1958 FORD that you may want after the
1st off December, 1957.

We wish to advise that on one 1955 Ford Y2 inliner,
8 cyl., two door passenger car, we will issue a credit
in the name of the City of Fairhope in the amount of
six hundred and fifty (.$650.00) dollars, to be applied
against purchase of a new car only.
We will sell to the City of Fairhope one 1958
passenger automobile with any, and/or all equipment if
so desired, at $190.00 over dealer cost.
The above mentioned credit will be deducted from
total net cost of coax' at time of delivery.
