HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-13-1958 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, January 13, 1958 with the following members presents Mayor E. B. Overton,. City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Council, - men; C. F. Belew, M. 0. Berglin, J. F. McDan iel s, B. L. Shul,l and W. R. Ruffles., Jr. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were readand approved on motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Bedew. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Ruffles seconded by Councilman Bedew that the application of Mr. Davidson to install awning at Dafers.Restaurant be approved providing awning and installation is approved by the building inspector. Motion carried. A group of citizens met with the C ouncili with a request for paving various streets in the City. Mayor Overton appointed Councilmen Ruffles and Shull: to make a - survey of the unpaved streets in the City. Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by C ouncilman McDanieIs that the building permit of W. H. Bigbiiie be approved as submitted. Motion carried. Mr. Henry's: request for dockage space at Fl,y Creek was referred to the Fairhope Yacht Club. Motion by Councilman McDanieI's seconded by Councilman Berglin that City Manager Niemeyer, Police C hief Johnson and Councilman Bedew check features of various police radios and place order. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman S hutl seconded by Councilman McDaniel than the City Manager be authorized to have the road grader overhauled. Motion, carried. Motion by Councilman Bedew seconded by Councilman Berglin that the following bills be approved for payments Motion carried.
