B. everton, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, J. F. McDaniel;, B. L. Shul I and C. F. Below. Councilman Ruff les being absent. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and on motion by Councilman McDaniel seconded by Councilman Belew the minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Motion carried. The following letter was received from the Fairhope Stadium Board: September 11, 1957 The Stadium Board met for organization in the school office at Lis 30 P.11p. Tuesday, September 10, 1.957. Mr. George Page, Mr:.Walter Poser, Mr. Romeo Simpson, Mr. Brad Niemeyer, Mr. E. P. Wakefield and Mr. J. W. Lipscomb were present, Mr. Dupree Mason, absent. Mr. Dupree Mason was elected to serve as chairman and Mr. J. W. Lipscomb elected to serve as secretary the term of office to be one year. There was a general discussion on policies to govern the use and rental of the stadium. Motion by Mr. Wakefield seconded by Mr. Page that the rental rate for the use of the stadium for activities other than football be as follows: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS Deposit of $10.00 for the cleaning of grounds after the activity, to be refunded if organisation cleans grounds to the satisfaction of the sec. Lights -- if dissired $12.00 per hour if all lights used 7.50 per hour if one bank of lights only. Lights for football games set by City $40.00 Any organization using the stadium other than civic and community non- profit service organizations will be expected to pay a minimum of $150.00. All above rates payable in advance. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Poser seconded by Mr. Wakefi&10 that any organization using stadium be required to furnish adequate parking attendants and clear park- ing arrangements through the city porice department. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Wakefield seconded by Mr. Page that any problem or request to the Sec, for use of the -stadium that is not clear to the Sec. he is to call meeting of the Board for their decision. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Page seconded by Mr. Poser that the Sec. be authorized to open a checking account at the Bank of Fairhope in the name of the "Fairhope Stadium Board". The Sec. (Mr. Lipscomb) be authorized to sign checks on this account with his signature only and that the Chairman (Mr. Mason) be authorized to sign checks in his absence. All income from rental of stadium to be deposited in this account and all money expended be by check. Motion carried. The board proceeded to the parking area and a general discussion of parking followed, board was adjourned. Res pectivelly submitted, James W. Lipscomb, Sec. The City Manager was requested to secure bids on the old police car for the next meeting of the Council, if bid is accepted the Council will accept credit memorandum on new police car to be pum hased at a leter date at Invoice price plus • Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman McDaniel that the meet— ing adjourn.
