Iiotion carried. Representatives of the Fig Street area and the Single Tax Colony met with the Council in regards to the condition of Fig Street. It was agreed that representatives from the City Council, Jangle Tax Colony and residents of Fig Street would attend the County Commis- sioners meeting in nay T.:inette, Thursday, Sept. 19, 1957. Councilman Schull, chairman of the Annexation Committee re^d a ree port and displayed a map t,,ith recommendations as to annexation of three proposed areas. T`otion by Councilman Shull, seconded by Coun- cilman Belew that the City tlanager be directec' to circularize all property owners „nd voters of Area r'l ( Fig Street Area) as to their wished concerning anne:-aticn. .oticn carried unanimously. 'ancil Patrick, owner of Baste�n Shore liotel, :.:obile Avenue and Seminole Street offered to I+A drain pipe if City would install same and supply fill dirt. OffFr accepted by t1layor and Council. r. R. Chamberlain and Leo Keller appeared before the Council con- cerning drainage problem on N. :-obi-le Avenue. h. C. Davidson re-ucsteo permission to erect direction signs on City property and was advised that orc_i.nance forbid scid erection. R. J. Covington requester grading of street leading to V.F. W.
