Mayor Ed Overton
City of Fairhope
Fairhope, Ala.
Dear Mayor Overton;
The Tourist Promotion Committee of FAIRHOPE & EASTERN
SHORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE wish to thank you, most sincerely,
for being present at the first All States picnic sponsored
by this committee, and for welcoming the guests for us.
At the final count there were twenty-one states and Hawaii
represented at the picnic, and the feeling was unanimous
that the occasion should be a yearly event. Those present
felt that it would take several years to build up a really
large attendance, and a great deal of interest.
Yours very truly,
TOURIST PROMOTION COMMITTEE
