The City Council of theC i ty of Fa i rhope met in regular session at the City
Hall, Monday,, March 12, 1956 with the following members present:: Mayor E. B.
Overton, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, R. H. Brown,
L. E. Blatchford, R. C. Macon and J. D. Mason.
The minutes of the special meeting of March 5, 1956 were read and approved'
subject to approval of the City Attorney.
Several drainage problems were discuseed by the Council and the City Manager
was authorized to get an estimated cost of installing bulkhead at the end -of
Seminole Avenue for next regular meeting of the Council.
Mr. Hugh Movrow, Jr. and Mr. Donald Mills met with the: Council in regards to
running an additional gas line to the City.
Motion by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Blatchfordthat the build-
ing permit of Mr. C. H. Woodward be approved. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Macon seconded by Councilman Berglin that the building permit
of -McKean Paint and Hardware be approved. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman ,Macon seconded by Councilman Berglin that the permit of
H. W. Odom to hang sign be approved as submitted. Motion carried:.
Motion by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Macon that the City accept
bid of Harry Creamer for I Littleford'Bituminous Equipment Machine No. 82,
Series L, Model. 101 - 4B- L40 Gat. 'lotion carried,
The application of Joe Hipsh for lease on fishing dock on part of Lot A,
Seacliff was read and discussed by the Council and action postponed until
lease to Fairhope Yacht Club has been completed.
Motion by Councilman Macon seconded
