County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session
at the City Hall Sept. 13, 1954 with the following members present:
Mayor E. B. Overton, pity Manager C. B. Neimeyer, Councilmen M. 0.
Berglin, L. E. Blatchford, R. H. Brown, R. C. Macon and J. D. Mason.
The minutes of the previous megular meeting were read and approved
as read.
Motion by councilmen Mason seconded by councilmen Berglin that the
following bills be approved for payment.

Mr. E. B. Gwin Chairman of the Retail Trade Committee of the Chamber
of Commerce read to the City Council a petition regarding the
purchasing of parking meters.
There was a Ordinance presented to the City Council to regulate
soliciting. No Action was taken.
A copy of a letter to Mr. C. A. Gaston of the Fairhope Single Tax
Corp. hegarding the property between Mershon St. and Brown.St.was
read to the City Council.
Motion �y Councilmen Macon seconded by councilmen Blatchford that
the Zon ng Ordinance presented at the meeting of .Aug. 23rd be
withdrawn. Motion Carried.
Motion by Councilmen Macon seconded by Councilmen Blatchford the
Zoning Ordinance be introduced and a public hearing to be held
Oct. 11 At City Hall and notice of same to be placed in the Fairhope
Courier two (2) Consecutive weeks. Motion Carried.
Mrs. F. G. Smith requested some action be taken to stop the barking
dogs.
Mr. Charlie Belew requested that improvements be made to Kumquat St.
It was duly moved and seconded th-t the meeting adjourn. Motion
Carried.
