HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-12-1954 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, July 12, 1954 with the following mem- bers present: Mayor E. B. Overton, Councilmen M. 0. Berglin, R. H. Brown, L. E. Blatchford, R. C. Macon and J. D. Mason. City Manager C. B. Niemeyer being absent. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved as read. Motion by Councilman Maeon seconded by Councilman Berglin that Ordinance ##230, introduced at the regular meeting of June 28, be carried over for further consideration. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Brown that the following bills be approved for payment: General Fund: Herbert Forster - Fill Dirt American City Poser Printing Co. The same being an Ordinance of permanent operation was carried over for further consideration and passage at the next regular meeting of the Council. The volunteer Fire Department requested permission to use the old pump house at the begch for their meetings. Permission granted. The permit of Jones -Powers Motor Co. to hang sign was carried over for further consideration. it was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn to meet on Friday, July 16, at 4:00 P.M.
