HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-11-1954 Regular Meeting6TATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, January 11, 1954 with the following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, L. E. Blatchford, R. C. Macon, J. D. Mason and E. B. Overton. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved as read. George Dyson 200.00 Mr. Isadore Reynolds met with the Council requesting that the sand be removed from Fly Creek. No action taken. Mr. J. E. i%ooley reported that it would be inadvisable to use sand from Fly Creek in the fill at the Colonial Inn bridge. A letter from the Momen's Civic Club was read to the Council requesting the City to pass an Ordinance to regulate unsatisfactory and unsanitary garbage and trash conditions in Fairhopeq A GeAKbage Ordinance and charging of collection fee was discussed. Action to be taken at a later date. The Council discussed the feasibility of increasing the volunteer fire department insurance. Mr. Dale Radcliff met with the Council in regards to parking on sidewalk on Fairhope Avenue. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
