HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-10-1953 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, August 10, 1953 with the following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, L. E. Blatchford, J. D. Mason and E. B. Overton. Councilman Macon being absent. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and app- roved as read. Mation by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Overton that the following bills be approved for payment: Motion carried. B. Cummins to build house on Lot 1, Block 2, Division 4 be approved 25 feet from Ingle- side and 30�'feet from Prospect St., house to face Ingleside Avenue. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Mason that the City purchase Welcome banners for the Firemen's Convention to be held in Fairhope August 31 and September 11 1953. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Blatchford that Daphne be charged for the use of the City Jail, a minimum charge of $1.00 per person up to twelve hours and $2.00 per person over twelve house and up to twenty-four hours.
