County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the City Hall Monday, March 23, 1953 with the
following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City Manager
C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. O.'Berglin, L. E. Blatchford,
R. C. Macon, J. D. Mason and E. B."Overton.
On motion by Councilman Macon seconded by Councilman Mason
the minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and
approved as read.
Residents of Sea Cliff met *ith the council in regards to
opening commercial fishing docks at Fly Creek.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Overton
that the following Qp be adopted:

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairhope, that WHEREAS under the provisions of the deed made by
R OBER T R., NAHRGANG and MAR JORY NAHRGANG, his wife, to the City of
Fairhope, dated the loth day of May, 1948, it is provided that
Robert R. Nahrgang has the right to purchase this property at the
pric8 of THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) should the City of Fair -
hope desire to sell, and WHEREAS the City of Fairhope desires to
sell,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Mayor and
Clerk of the City of Fairhope are hereby authorized to convey to
Robert R. Nahrgang the following described property, to -wits
Beginning at that point on the South line of
Fairhope Avenue where the East line of Section
37 of the Baron De Feriet Grant intersects,
running thence South along the East line of
said Section 37, 290 feet; thence North 430 West
272 feet; thence North 270 151 West, 95 feet,
more or less, to the South line of Fairhope Ave.,
thence East 225 feet to the point of beginning,
containing one acre, more or less and being in
said Section 37 in Fractional Township 6 South,
Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama.
for Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) and directed on payment of said
money to execute and deliver a deed to the above described property
to the said Robert R. Nahrgang.
Motion by Councilman Macon seconded by Councilman. Blatchford
that the building permit of Mr. A. E. Schermer be approved.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Blatchford
that the City Manager and Councilman attend the City Manager's
Convention at the University of - Georgia, April 9 & 109
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Mason
that the City repair Cummings Hall to meet the needs of
the National Guard. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Mason seconded by Councilman Berglin
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
