County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the City Hall, Monday July 28, 1952 with the
following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City1-Manager
C. B. Niemeyer,,Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, J. D. Mason, E. B.
Overton and Ira Steele, Councilman J. T. Bradford being absent.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and
approved as read.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Overton
that the application of N. R. Dawson for a building permit
be approved. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Mason
that the application of Donald P. Hershberger-for a permit
to build a garage be approved. Motion carried.
On motion by Councilman Steele seconded by Councilman Mason,
it was resolved that the city pay the sum of $125.00 damages
and $38.50 cost as decreed by Probate Court in the Robert .
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED FIRE PREVENTION CODE. # �2 1
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fairhope
as followsr
That a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall on
Monday August 25th at 7:30 p.m. on the proposed Code known as Fire
Prevention Code, -Abbreviated Edition, recommended by the National
Board of Fire Underwriters of New York, being particularly the 1950
edition which is being considered for adoption by the City, three
copies of which have been and are now filed in the office of the
Clerk of the City of Fairhope and that the Clerk of the city is here-
by directed to give notice by publication in the "Fairhope Courier"
once a week for two consecutive weeks, the first notice to be pub-
lished on the 7th day of August) 1952; at which hearing all interest-
ed parties shall be invited to voice any protests to any features of
said Code that they feel are objectionable.
Councilman Mason moved the adoption of said ordinance which
was seconded by Councilman Bef'glin.
Motion carried.

Be it ordAined by the City Council of the City of Fairhope
as follows:
That a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall on
Monday, August 25th at 7:30 p.m, on the proposed Code known as the
National Building Code, Abbreviated Edition, recommended by the
National Board of Fire Underwriters of New York, being particularly
the 1949 edition which is being considered for adoption by the City,
three copies of which code have been and are now filed in the office
of the Clerk of the City of Fairhope and that the Clerk of the City
is hereby directed to give notice by publication in the "Fairhope
Courier" once a week for two consecutive weeks, the first notice
to be published on the 7th day of August, 1952; at which hearing all
interested parties shall be invited to voice any protests to any
features 'of said Code that they feel are objection.
Councilman Mason moved the adoption of said ordinance which
was seconded by Councilman Berglin.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Overton that
the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED FIRE PREVENTION
CODE.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing shall be
held at the City Hall on Monday, August 25th at 7:30 p.m* on the
proposed Code known as Fire Prevention Code, Abbreviated Edition,
recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters of New York,
being particularly the 195- Edition, which is being considered for
adoption by the City, three copies of which Code have been and are
now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Fairhpe; at
which hearing all interested parties are invited to voice any pro-
tests to any feature of said Code that they feel are objectionable.
