County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the City Hall, Monday, June 23, 1952 with the
following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City
Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen M. 0. Berglin, J. T.
Bradford, J. D. Mason, E. B. Overton and I. N. Steele.
On motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman
Mason the minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved as read.
Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman
Steele that the City extend Pecan Street between First
and Second Avenue when the right of way has been cleared
at the property ovaners expense. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Steele seconded by Councilman
Overton that the following 0rdinance be adopted. Motion
carried.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA
as follows:
Any person who operates a boat carelessly and
heedlessly in willful or wanton disregard of the rights
and safety of others or without due caution and circum-
spect and at a speed or in any manner so as to endanger
any person, shall be guilty of reckless boating and shall
be, on conviction, punished by imprisonment in the Munici-
pal Jail for a period of not less than five days or more
than ninety days or by a fine of rot less than FIVE
DOLLARS ($5.00) or more than ONE HUNDRED($100.00) or both
such fines and imprisonment.
Councilman Mason moved that the rules be suspended and
unanimous consent be given for immediate consideration of
and action on said ordinance, which motion was seconded by
Councilman Berglin and upon the motion being put to vote
the following vote was recorded: Yeas,Mayor Klumpp and
Councilmen Berglin, Bradford, Mason, Overton and Steele.
Nays, None. The Mayor thereupon declared that the motion
for Unanimous consent for immediate consideration of an
action on said Ordinance had been unanimously carried.
Councilman Bradford thereupon moved that the said Ordinance
be finally adopted, which motion was seconded by Councilman
Steele and upon said motion being put to vote the follow-
ing vote was recorded: Yeas, Mayor Klumpp, Councilmen Berglin,
Bradford, Mason, Overton and Steele. Nays, None. The
Mayor then announced that the motion for adoption of said
Ordinance had been unanimously carried and signed the same
in approval thereof.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried.
